Stuart Nairne
Stuart Nairne started kickboxing in 1990, then in 1994 was introduced to Will-Machado Jiu Jitsu being taught by Sean Kirkwood who gave him his blue belt. John Will gave Stu his purple belt after a seminar in 2001. Moving to Manly / Sydney Stu started training under Anthony Lange, receiving his brown belt in 2004. During this time also attaining 4th degree black belt in the Shoot system (MMA).
Whilst training in Manly Stu also trained with Nick Stones Bulldog Gym, http://www.thaiboxing.com.auhaving 5 fights under the Bulldog banner.
Since starting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1994, Stu has competed in just about every grappling tournament since, picking up state and national titles along the way in his weight division (67kg) and no weight divisions.
Stu has also entered the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) arena, fighting in shootfighting, pancrase, pankration, shooto and most recently fighting in the Warriors Realm event for a lightweight title.
Stu is fully insured and a level 2 coach under the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme which is recognised by the Government along with the Australian Sports Commission.
Moving to Coffs Harbour in 2006 to teach Will- Machado Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.
